Use the links below to sign up for tryouts. For all players born before August 1 , 2014 will register through the Academy Link. All players born after July 31, 2014 will register through the select link. All players who would like to attend our Pre Tryout Camp on May 11-14 can register through that link. However, it is important that you must be registered for your specific tryout to be considered for a position on a team.

When are tryouts?
Tryouts are May 18-20 for Academy and U13-U14 Select. Tryouts are May 26-28 for U15 and up Select.

How much does the season cost?
The price for team varies from $1250 to $1650 depending on age, team level, league, and other factors.

For registration, you have the option to pay in full or pay with a payment plan.
How do I apply for financial aid?

Are their additional fees for the season?
There are other team fees that are not included in the registration fees. These are tournament fees and per diems.
Uniforms are also purchased seperately through soccer.com. Links for uniforms will be sent after tryouts.
What age group is my player?
The age groups will be changing from birth year to school year for the 2026/2027 season. To find your childs age group, please click the link below:
Can my child play up an age group?
Due to the recent age group changes, all players will be required to try out with their appropriate age group. Any decisions regarding players “playing up” will not be made in advance and will instead be evaluated during tryouts. Final decisions on playing up will be determined on a case-by-case basis by our Sporting Director, Jason Lockhart.
When does the season start?
The season will start in July and August. Select teams will have team camp July 27-30 and Academy teams will have team camp August 3-6.
In August, teams will participate in tournaments decided by the club. League scheduled games will begin in September.
How many days a week does the team train?
All competitive teams will train 2-3 times per week.
What leagues does Athens United play in?
Athens United Select program plays in the Development Players League (DPL) and Southeastern Clubs Champions League(SCCL).
Some Academy teams at the U11 and U12 levels play SCCL schedules, however most teams play a self scheduled schedule with other local Atlanta based Academy teams.
How can I make sure I am ready for the season?
Athens United will host a Summer training program. It is one hour of technical training every Monday through Thursday in June and July. Please click on the link below for more information:
