Tournament Policies & Procedures
At Athens United Soccer Association, we prioritize a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants. Our tournament policies and procedures are designed to ensure smooth operations and uphold the integrity of the game. Please familiarize yourself with these guidelines to help us create a positive environment for everyone involved.
Is there a refund policy?
Athens United will not refund teams for weather cancellations. Vertical Insurance is available for teams to purchase for 10% of the tournament costs. Tournament Insurance will need to be purchased 15 days prior to the start of the tournament.
Vertical Insure will provide refunds by games played. Please refer to our SINCSports policy for more details. It is highly recommended and encouraged to purchase this.
How can I contact tournament officials?
For any inquiries or concerns during the tournament, please reach out to tournament@athensunited.net.
What if there are weather delays?
In the event of inclement weather, updates will be communicated through SINCSports. Please double check all team contacts information is listed correctly to recieve tournament updates. Please stay tuned for announcements regarding game delays or cancellations.
Are there any special activities planned?
Yes! We have various activities planned for participants and families, including several vendors at the events. Stay tuned for more information!
What are the registration requirements?
All teams must complete the registration process before the tournament deadline. This includes completing online check-in and payment. Teams will be accepted after payment in full. Any team who does not complete either of these requirements risks being removed from the tournament schedule.
What is the code of conduct?
We expect all participants, coaches, and spectators to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect towards others. Any form of harassment or unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.
All players who recieve a 1 game ban with no exceptions. Additional games may be added at the discretion of the disciplinary committee.
How are disputes handled?
Scoring disputes will be addressed by the tournament officials. You can email any dispute to tournament@athensunited.net.
All decisions made by officials are final. There are no protests of official match results.
What are the game rules?
Games will be played according to standard US Club youth soccer rules, with specific modifications for AUSA rules. Please review the detailed rules provided in the rules on the specific tournament website.
What should teams bring?
Teams should come prepared with their own uniforms, water, and any necessary equipment.
All teams must bring a game card for each game with the roster listed and a qr code for gamescoring.
