ATHENS FC WELCOMES TIMMY MCCORMACK AS USL W HEAD COACH

Athens FC, Georgia’s newest USL franchise for both women’s and men’s pre-professional soccer teams, is thrilled to welcome Timmy McCormack as the new head coach of its USL W women’s soccer team. With over 20 years of coaching experience, McCormack has spent the last 16 years shaping the women’s soccer program at Piedmont University in Georgia, where he has demonstrated outstanding leadership and success. His impressive coaching career includes leading his teams to multiple conference championships, highlighting his ability to develop winning strategies and nurture talent on the soccer field. Looking ahead, McCormack will lead Athens FC into its first season in the USL W League in May 2024. As Athens FC embarks on this exciting journey, McCormack’s extensive experience and passion for soccer are expected to drive the team to great heights in the competitive landscape of the league.
